Join us for the inaugural Nurstory Symposium where you’ll come together with practicing nurses, nurse researchers, nurse educators, nursing students and nursing theorists — all focusing on some way in which the stories of who they are, what they do, how they do it, and nursing really is to them is at the forefront.

Thursday, January 2nd - 2:00pm: Welcome from Dr. Nancey France/FAU and Dr. Sue Hagedorn/Founder of Nurstory
2:30pm: Keynote Address. Richard Cowling on An Anatomy of a Nurstory — Patterns of Nursing Knowing
3:30pm: Break
4:00pm: Daniel Weinshenker from Nurstory will lead us in a generative storytelling session
5:00pm: Break for Dinner

Friday, January 3rd - 8:30am: Coffee and/or meditation
9:00am: Plenary by Dr. Raeann Leblanc on Nurstory in Education and using the Nurstory Educators Guide
10:30am — 3:00pm: Break-out presentations by YOU on implementations, research and practice (lunch included)
3:30pm: Dr. Kristen Jones-Bonofiglio on Compassion in Nursing (and compassion exercise)
5:00pm: Break for Dinner

Saturday, January 4th - 8:30am: Coffee and/or meditation
9:00am: Plenary Dr. Sue Hagedorn
10:00am — 12:00pm: Presentations by YOU on implementations, research and practice (lunch included)
12:00pm: Lunch
1:00pm: Generative exercise in storysharing
2:00pm: Depart
